Demonstration in the Reunification Palace, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam,of two musical instruments made from bamboo. The sound from the first instrument, is made by the air being created by the clapping of the hands, but not quite as simple as it looks.

The inlay is make of camel bone (though they use plastic on the smaller cheaper versions). The two colors of wood come from Mulberry and Apricon tree wood.

i wonder why they couldn’t say ‘drum?’
Probably because it was a crappy version of some plastic paper over a cardboard tube that no more made a drum sound than a toilet seat does.
