The Kayalu Gear Locking Suction Camera Mount with Toughbar® Extension Arm is a rugged mount, manufactured by RAM Mounting Systems and enhanced with the addition of Kayalu marine-grade accessories suitable for use in saltwater and freshwater environments.

This mount provides a unique opportunity for you to secure your camera using a locking vacuum cup design similar to the mechanical suction cups used by professional glass installers. Cleanly affixed to any non-porous surface (glass, steel, fiberglass, enamel, plastic, etc.), the mount can secure cameras and optical devices weighing up to 2 lbs. (.9 kg).

This particular Kayalu/RAM model is a perfect accessory for a waterproof camera such as a Canon PowerShot D10, Lumix, Optio or Kodak Playsport HD video.

The mount’s versatile camera head, including its 1/4″-20 tripod screw, is 100% constructed of high-strength composite and anodized aluminum. A Kayalu Gear EPDM rubber bushing on the 1/4″ stud secures your camera and protects it from abrasion on the aluminum post.

The Kayalu Toughbar® extension, constructed of stainless steel and aluminum, provides the mount with an additional 8.5″ reach and an added level of flexibility in positioning your camera. The mount’s handles can be loosened individually, repositioned, and tightened with a single hand.

The mount can be affixed to a kayak, waterboard, surfboard, car fender or boat windshield by power-locking its vacuum grip to the surface through the action of a mechanical lever arm. To remove the mount, you simply twist the lock counter-clockwise and pull up a small rubber tab.

The Kayalu Gear nylon-coated tether and steel breech clip secures your mount and equipment if bumped or disengaged.
